Evergreen Park School District 124’s website and Perspective newsletter were each selected as winners in a Communications Contest hosted by the Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (INSPRA).

D124’s website received an Award of Excellence, while the newsletter received an Award of Merit.

The website was judged for its writing, overall appeal, encouragement of return visits, ease of navigation, frequency of updates, branding, and consistency. Judges said they liked the “clean design,” “great stories,” and the fact that the “students and staff are front and center!”

The Perspective newsletter was judged for its defined purpose, coverage of various subjects, clear and concise writing, branding, layout and structure, and consistency. Judges said they “loved the variety of interesting information,” and enjoyed the “great color palette” and “really fun photos”

All entries were judged by school communications professionals from across the country. Entries with a score that reach a certain benchmark are designated as winners of Awards of Merit or Awards of Excellence.

The District will accept both awards during a Sept. 14 awards ceremony in Oak Brook.
