After conducting a thorough, wide-ranging search for our next superintendent, the District 124 Board of Education did not find a candidate who we felt would completely meet the needs of our district. Despite the Illinois Association of School Board's Executive Search Committee selecting a slate of candidates for us to interview, and working closely with our BOE, we now are moving into the next steps of the process. 

During the interview process it became clear that the unprecedented times we find ourselves in as a result of the ongoing conronavirus pandemic are not ideal for interviewing and hiring a new superintendent. As a result, the Board has decided to table our search for a permanent replacement, for now, and to begin looking to fill the role of an interim basis for the next school year.
