Evergreen Park School District 124 department of technology's focus is to enable our educators and support staff to create leaders in a world where 65% will obtain careers that do not exist.  To accomplish this feat, steps have been taken to provide the support, hardware, services, and training our staff require to cultivate this forward-thinking educational model.

1:1 Deployment

District 124 has completed the 1:1 rollout as of 2017-18 school year so each student in every Kindergarten through 8th grade classroom will have a personal device for learning. Students in K-2nd grade have a personal iPad. Students in 3rd-8th grade have a personal Chromebook.

Google Apps for Education

 All students are provided a google account that allows students to create projects, email their teacher, collaborate with other students, save and store documents, show their work on the projector, and much more.

Educational Technology

The mission for Educational Technology in District #124 is to provide all students with opportunities to engage in rigorous, authentic, and collaborative learning experiences that allow students to be creative in developing problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to be successful in a global society. To help support technology integration at each grade level, students are provided with either an iPad (K-1st) or a Chromebook (2nd-8th) to use within the curriculum. 

Replacement Cost

The cost of a replacement device will be assessed by the total cost of the device divided by the years in service. All device replacement costs are calculated on a four-year life cycle. A replacement cost will be billed in the event of accidental damage, stolen, and lost devices. The new year started July 1.

If a device costs the district $800, the replacement cost is below:

• 1st Year - $800
• 2nd Year - $600
• 3rd Year - $400
• 4th Year - $200
